I remember being at my parents friends house that they had built themselves. Its very literal. It made me feel like something was missing from my life. I had always wanted to live in a handmade house made with love.
I later went on to meet someone who too wanted this and we built a house from scratch. It’s that yearning for authenticity and simplicity.
