about

Bursting with the vibrant pop vibes and soaring vocals for which she is known, Alannah Russack is pleased to announce the release of the new single with her Entropy Band, entitled ‘Movement’.

With a cast of brilliant Sydney musicians onboard, including Ratcat’s Marc Scully, Sidewinder’s Shane Melder and keyboard legend and music academic Jadey O’Regan, ‘Movement’ beautifully embodies the spirit of its title and its inspiration.

The intended third single of the upcoming new album, titled ‘As Memories Pass Each Other’ races along with a stomping beat and a radiant vocal, with a chorus that instantly lodges in your head. A song that speaks to the inspirational power and love people can offer others, it serves as another exciting taste of what’s to come on the new record.

lyrics

I can't sleep
Thinkin’ of the wheels
You can’t turn
Wondering how you’re feeling
In the middle of the night
Are you yearning for movement
Missing your light
I’m feeling sorry for you
Am I so scared of demise

I wanna give you movement
I must be scared for myself
Shadow lying still
Can't quite believe it

Seeing you, holding you
So thin
You are beautiful
Whether or not from out or in
Toss and turn
I’m trying to think of, lines to say
None of my business
Can we
Change places for the day

Would I be angry?
Would I blame somebody else?
There I go again
I’m back to talkin’ about myself

I stand by you
You can only lie
I summon the feeling I would like you to know
Before you die
Degeneration tears well up
Deterioration fearful of
When I look into your eyes

I wanna give you movement
I must be scared for myself
Shadow lying still
Can’t quite believe it
Would I be angry?
Would I blame somebody else?
There I go again
I’m back to talking about myself
