about

This is the first single released from’As Memories Pass Each Other’
It made it into The Guardians top releases for the month and was really well received.
This is an album mix of the song.
It’s in parts about love and a longing for a certain time and place. There is also the story of meeting someone and it not quite working out but the excitement factor outweighed the cons. Then meanings morph and the latest disasters have brought about change to my actual home.

lyrics

Intro [Em] [D] [C] X2. Capo 2nd fret

V1
[G]We started [D]off by holding [C]hands and giggling in each other’s ears
[G]showing off in [D]sleazy booths, our [C]favourite kisses
but I’m [G]not ashamed to [D]say I don’t [C]know you so well,
just a little un[G]easy to ad[D]mit that I [C]probably never will

[Em]Oh oh....[D] [C]

V2
Well she [G]said you drew them [D]in and [C]yes they gathered round
I must say[G] I felt uncomforta[D]ble, as I [C]stood on the outside
but I’m [G]wearing shiny [D]shoes, having [C]listened to, my guitar [G]heroine
[D]we don’t need no [C]spit from you

Bridge

The [Am]rea[Em]sons [C]changed it [D]seems so long
con[Am]fu[Em]sion [C]keeps me away [D]but somehow keeps me

Chorus
[Am]holding on[Em]........ [C]Somehow keeps me [Am]holdin [Em]on......[C]

[Em]X2. [D] [C]

V3
[G]You’re a [D]good swimmer, [C]you’ve got a sixth [G]sense
as you [D]dive to the [C]bottom, you feel the emptiness[G]
Do you ever get the feelin’, places you [Am]love, [Em]changing forever[C]
Places you [Am]love, [Em]changing forever[C], places you [Am]love, [Em]changing forever[C]

Bridge
The [Am]rea[Em]sons [C]changed it [D]seems so long
con[Am]fu[Em]sion [C]keeps me away [D]but somehow keeps me

Chorus
[Am]holding on[Em]........ [C]Somehow keeps me [Am]holdin [Em]on......[C]
